The Wellness Coalition of Rural Linn County collaborated with SAMHSA ‘Talk They Hear You’ campaign to create ads, local billboards, and radio campaigns to promote early education about the dangers of alcohol, vaping, marijuana, opioids, and other drugs. This campaign was created to reach parents and youth and emphasizes that it is never too late to begin speaking with your youth about the dangers of underage drinking and other substance use, and also encourages parents by letting them know that they’re doing a great job and that they’re not alone.

Did you know: “ According to the 2021 Iowa Youth Survey,  majority of 11th graders in Linn County reported that they believe their parents would disapprove of them engaging in alcohol or drug use.” Keep talking parents, they hear you!
